Definitions:

Basis Point (bps): One hundredth of one percent and is used to denote the percentage change in a financial instrument.

Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA): The DJIA is a price-weighted average of 30 significant stocks traded on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.

Nasdaq Composite: an index of more than 3,000 stocks listed on the Nasdaq exchange that includes the world’s foremost technology and biotech giants such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, Intel and Amgen.

S&P 500 Index: An American stock market index based on the market capitalizations of 500 large companies having common stock listed on the NYSE or NASDAQ.
